Imagine this…. your child is sick but the nearest hospital does not have facilities to treat him. With an average household income of RM50/month that can barely feed the family, let alone travelling through dusty trail for days, to a faraway state to seek for medical assistance. This is NOT a scene from a movie! It is very real!!
That’s how pitiful the situation is in Zaria , Northern Nigeria with a (Muslim majority) population of >700,000 living below poverty line.
To mitigate their predicaments, An-Nadaa an NGO founded by Sheikh Dr Ibrahim Nuhu initiated a project to set up a waqf Women & Children’s hospital. The 2 storey hospital that will have consultation rooms, paediatric ward, labour room, maternity ward, laboratory, sterilisation room, pharmacy and an office. It will also be equipped with ultrasound machine and other equipment deemed needed.
